The WP Cookie Consent contains a progress circle for guiding you through the next steps, showing important links at your fingertips, useful tips and tricks, and other valuable plugins from WPeka.
The dashboard includes 7 sections – Your Progress, Consent Insights, Cookie Summary, Recent Consent Logs, Quick Links, Help, and Tips and Tricks.
Your Progress #
This section ensures you are guided through the next important steps after installing the WP cookie consent plugin on your website. The progress circle will reach 100% when all 5 requirements are met. Let’s look into the 5 requirements in detail:
- Ensure no other cookie plugin is installed on your WordPress to avoid conflict. If any cookie plugin is already installed, you can deactivate it.
- Scan for cookies on your website. Note that this is a pro feature and can be accessed only by upgrading to the pro version of the plugin. Click on the ‘Upgrade to pro’ to access this feature.
- Ensure that the cookie notice appears on your website.
- Install and activate the WP Pro plugin.
- Enable geotargeting with MaxMind Integration. This is also a pro feature, which can be accessed after upgrading to the pro version. Click on ‘Upgrade to pro’ to access this feature. After installing and activating the pro version, click on the ‘click here to configure’ link to configure this setting.

It allows you to monitor which cookies are most accepted, rejected, or modified by users, helping you understand their preferences and adjust your website’s data practices accordingly.
Cookie Summary #

Cookie Summary: Monitor and Manage Your Website’s Cookies with Ease
The Cookie Summary dashboard provides a centralized view of your website’s cookie usage and compliance status. Here’s what you can track:
- Total Cookies: Displays the number of cookies detected on your site. Currently showing “0,” indicating no cookies are active, or a site scan hasn’t been performed.
- Categories: Lists the types of cookies grouped by function (e.g., essential, marketing). Currently showing “0,” as no categories have been identified yet.
- Last Scan: Tracks the date of your most recent site scan. If you haven’t scanned your website, it prompts you to do so for accurate results.
- Pages Scanned: Reflects the total number of pages reviewed during the site scan for cookie detection.
- Next Scan: Allows you to schedule periodic scans to keep your cookie summary up to date. Currently, the next scan is “Not Scheduled.” You can activate this feature by clicking “Schedule Now.”
- Regulation Compliance: Indicates the privacy regulation you are working toward. Currently set to GDPR, ensuring your site aligns with its stringent requirements.
This feature ensures your website is audit-ready, helping you maintain transparency and regulatory compliance effortlessly. Start with a site scan to populate your cookie summary and stay in control of your privacy practices.
Recent Consent Logs #

The Recent Consent Logs section provides a comprehensive record of user interactions with your cookie consent banner. This log is vital for tracking and demonstrating compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD.
Current Status: #
- IP Address: No records found yet, indicating that user interactions with the consent banner have not been logged.
- Country: Currently empty, as no users have engaged with the consent banner to record their location.
- Consent Status: No data is available at the moment. This field typically shows whether users accepted, rejected, or customized their cookie preferences.
- Visited Date: No logs have been recorded, reflecting no recent visits or interactions requiring consent tracking.
Quick Links #
This section contains some of the important options of the plugin in the form of quick links. With the free version of this plugin, the users can access Settings, Design Cookie Banner, and Script Blocker options. The users need to upgrade to the pro version to access the rest of the options.
- Settings: Access the Settings page to configure the Cookie Settings.
- Consent Log: This will lead to the section where the users’ consent logs are stored(pro).
- Scan Cookies: Access the Scan Cookies feature(pro).
- Geo-targeting: Enable geo-targeting by enabling max mind integration(pro).
- Design Cookie Banner: Customize the cookie banner as per your choice.
- Banner Templates: Access pre-designed templates for your cookie banner (pro).
- Script Blocker: This will take you to the script blocker section. If a user decides not to allow marketing cookies, then third-party services will not run on that user’s browser. By default, the script blocker is off.
- Third-Party Details: Embed third-party cookie details. Add third-party details and use the shortcode [wpl_cookie_details] to display cookie policy data on the pages.
